#YGexposed | Other (sad) informations about the disbanding of 2NE1
Different scandals happened with YG Entertainment and there are different "unofficial" news about the mismanagement of their artists. Recently founder Yang Suk resigned (keeping his shareholder status LOL) because of too many scandals and responsibilities. And just yesterday, a former employee of the company wanted to talk.
We do not know the name of this employee, but on a Korean site he wanted to talk about what happened to the 2NE1 before their disbanding. This employee has worked at the company since 2009 up to six months ago. He decided to write it now that he no longer has any connection with the company. Within a few hours his article has been deactivated and it is no longer available. He knew he could take risks with this article but he did it anyway. Some Blackjacks on Twitter managed to see the article in time and were able to translate it from Korean to English. Here all the leaked informations.
The disbanding of 2NE1 has been one-sided. It was a single decisive decision without any meeting and without even the girls could decide. After the release of CRUSH and COME BACK HOME, Minzy repeatedly wanted to debut as soloist and with an album, but YG didn't even allow her to publish a single. Even when Minzy's parents repeatedly talked to the managers, the answer was always "no". So, Minzy decided to not renewing her contract and leave the YG for good, as we all know.
It was also the period after the Bom scandal and although they wanted to continue working as OT3 (CL, Bom and Dara), even there the decision was one-sided. The girls recorded so many songs for an OT3 album. Also here, without any meeting, YG decided to definitively disband the group and release only "Goodbye" (which should have been in CL album). Goodbye is released and since Minzy's parents were at odds with her old company, she couldn't even participate in their last song together (Minzy herself said she didn't know anything about it).
Some unreleased song of 2NE1 were so popular and powerful that everyone used to sing in YG Building. Now, according to this former employee, these songs have been released by other girl groups. Here are some screenshots of some old posts of Minzy and CL:
BlackPink's FOREVER YOUNG and PLAYING WITH FIRE were originally for 2NE1. "Blackpink in your area" right? Listen to what Bom says here in an old live with Dara. At this point, BOOMBAYAH was also for 2NE1. This really shows the lack of originality of YG:
CL wrote many songs and recorded at least 200. Every time the final version of her album was proposed, it was always postponed and rejected. CL is blocked by her own record company that doesn't want to release anything from her. On the contrary, they recycle lots of songs written and created by CL itself. It is speculated that SOMI's BIRTHDAY was by CL: in an old interview, Diplo spoke about a CL's song with this name.
The former employee also confirms that CL and Dara, after a meeting, were forced to leave all their songs and not even receive the credits they deserve.
CL continues to have no plans with the YG and, hopefully, the contract will end in 2020. Dara continues to participate in different variety shows instead. She also wanted to publish a single or an album, but nothing.
